FOH will host their

Annual Meeting on 13 March at 7:30! 

at the Memorial Town Hall in Madison.

After a brief business meeting to elect a new slate of officers, our guest speaker will be Joel Helander, municipal historian for Guilford, who will present "Faulkner's Island, A Case for Preservation".  Joel was also instrumental in the formation of the Faulkner's Light Brigade and served as their first chair.  Please join us in learning about this nearby island and its fascinating history.  Light refreshments will follow.

Seal Search: Meet at the Meigs Point Nature Center at1:00pm and search for seals and waterfowl learn about these creatures of Long Island Sound

Geology/Native American Land Use Hike, noon to 1pm, Meigs Point Nature Center

Connecticut Archaeology Open House from noon to 3PM, Meigs Point Nature Center

On Sunday, January 15th, an Osprey platform, built by Michael Houde from Clinton and funded by Sara Rockwell, was installed at Hammonasset Beach State Park by a group pf volunteers led by John Picard and Shannon Schiesser from Menunkatuck Audubon and volunteers from Friends of Hammonasset, A Place Called Hope and  the Menunkatuck Audubon Society.
